I’m Stevie, a creative, cinematic filmmaker based in Glasgow, Scotland. With over fifteen years of experience within the wedding industry, I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world, as well as Scotland, shooting weddings.
Being a Scottish and destination wedding filmmaker is the best job in the world. Couples travel from all over the globe to get married in Scotland. Eloping up in the mountains surrounded by countryside, holding a celebration on one of our beaches, or saying their vows in a quirky city centre venue. Whilst Scotland is home and holds my heart I also adore travel.
There’s nothing better than exploring incredible countries and filming weddings worldwide. My diary is open to a limited number of international weddings per year.
My style of filmmaking is documentary with a cinematic flair. I work discreetly and creatively, capturing all the real moments that make up the story of a wedding day. The work doesn’t end there though, the real magic happens in the edit. I spend hours meticulously going through the footage, creating wedding films that will take you back to your wedding day every single time you watch them.

When I’m not filming weddings or holed up in the editing suite then you’ll find me hanging out with my wife Becca, son Cam and our dog Pig (yes, she has an Instagram account), enjoying a coffee or two, or three… (photo by my pal the super talented Lauren Stirling).
What’s in a name?
Journal is the culmination of over fifteen years experience in the wedding industry.
Taking everything I’ve learned as a wedding photographer, infusing it with my knowledge of light, composition, and creativity along with my passion for filmmaking led to Journal. Honest, original, and unique wedding films.
Based in the West of Scotland and capturing weddings all over the UK and beyond.
